2025 was an interesting year for Peace River MLA Dan Williams.
He began the year as the province’s Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, until Premier Danielle Smith did a cabinet shuffle in May and Williams was moved over to the Municipal Affairs portfolio.
One of his mandates for that role will be on having municipalities focused on delivering “core services” to their local residents.
We talked with him about what he’s been able to accomplish in that role so far, and his thoughts on the local situation in Peace River regarding the Sagitawa Friendship Society’s shelter operations.
