The Town of High Level is reflecting on the legacy of its long-standing community logo as it prepares to transition to its new, modern logo in 2026.
For more than 35 years, the current logo has served as a meaningful symbol of High Level, representing the community’s values, industries, and natural surroundings. Featuring elements such as a wheat stalk to reflect agriculture and a caribou to symbolize the area’s abundant wildlife, the logo has been a recognizable and enduring representation of the Town.
Throughout its years of use, the logo has appeared on Town communications, welcomed visitors to High Level, and stood prominently on Main Street. Its familiar colours and design have helped shape a strong civic identity, connecting generations of residents while fostering pride and a sense of belonging among community members, staff, and partners.
Originally developed in the early 1990s, the logo has been a witness to High Level’s growth and evolution. It has marked countless milestones, events, and achievements and has been embraced not only by the Town but also by local organizations and businesses that incorporated elements of the logo into their own branding.
As the Town transitions to a new logo in 2026, the refreshed design continues to honour the community’s roots. Key symbols remain central to the new visual identity, including the wheat stalk representing agriculture and food security, the flame symbolizing the oil and gas industry, the tree representing the surrounding forest and forestry sector, and the raven, which reflects wisdom, transformation, and the complexity of nature.
