From 2000 to 2007 a show took over the television with a dysfunctional family, centered around Frankie Muniz’s Malcolm. The show was known for the hilarity that would ensue around the family that also saw a pre-Breaking Bad Bryan Cranston showing off the comedy chops. Well it will have been 19 years since the show left when the revival starts April 10th on Disney+ and the new teaser trailer sets up the insanity that is set to happen in the 4 episode season.
Set approximately 20 years after the end of the original series, the miniseries follows the titular Malcolm as he now lives with his daughter Leah and girlfriend Tristan. He is forced to bring them into his birth family’s chaos when his parents Hal and Lois demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party.
I never got into the show during its original run but I do plan to go back and watch in the build up to the miniseries.
