Energy Alberta continues its consultation phase for the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power Project.
A recent pop-up information session at J’s Java Domain in downtown Peace provided residents an opportunity to gather more information and ask questions about the proposal.
Community feedback remains mixed, with ongoing inquiries and a growing understanding of the project.
Additional sessions are planned to ensure thorough community engagement before any approval is considered.
Katie McKinnon is the Director of Indigenous and Stakeholder Engagement with Energy Alberta.
She says these meetings are with a different approach, and Energy Alberta is working around everyone’s schedules with these sessions.
