This weekend, the Peace River region is bustling with events for all ages.
The St. Isidore Carnaval kicks off Friday and Saturday, culminating in a traditional mass and brunch on Sunday.
In Grimshaw, families can enjoy a scavenger hunt running from Friday through Monday.
Sunday features the Peace Snow Riders Poker Rally, and on Monday, the Harmon Valley Outdoor Skating Rink hosts a Family Day Skate and Wiener Roast.
Additionally, the Baytex Energy Centre and Peace Regional Pool are celebrating Family Fest on Monday.
It’s also Alberta’s Free Fishing Weekend, meaning no license is required to fish on waterbodies with open seasons, though all regulations still apply.
Please exercise caution if ice fishing, as recent heavy snowfall has led to less-than-ideal ice conditions.
