  1. Residents in Alberta may be voting in an independance referendum.
    Sources have said the required signatures have been gathered to send Albertans to the polls to vote on separating.
    Petitions are still being gathered until the May 2nd deadline.
  2. Police in Peace River have two in custody on a stolen vehicle case.
    42 year-old Kenneth Noskiye and 35 year-old Cheyenne Furgeson of Peace River were arrested after a stolen vehicle was found at Wilderness Park on Thursday night.
  3. May and June of 2027 has been set aside for trials in the case of murder, that happened in the Fairview area in 2024.
    Christopher Valin of Berwyn is accused, after the body of 54 year-old Wilfred Rever of Manning was discovered by hunters.
  4. A stay of proceedings has been given in the case of murder in Peace River last year.
    Kelleo Alook of Peace River faced many charges, after the death of 35-year-old Anton Vincent Carifelle of McLennan, last August in downtown Peace River.
  5. The MD of Greenview has adopted their Operating and Capital budgets to the tune of $336 Million dollars for 2026.
    Five significant infrastructure projects are being earmarked, as part of the annual funding.
