A 27-year-old Fox Lake man is facing multiple firearm-related charges following an incident late last month.

On March 29, 2026, Fox Lake RCMP responded to reports that a home had been shot at. Officers attended the scene and confirmed the residence had been struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, police identified a suspect. On April 5, RCMP arrested Lane Johnson Laboucan of Fox Lake. He has been charged with several offences, including careless use of a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and mischief, among others.

Laboucan appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 23 at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level.

RCMP say they remain committed to community safety. Corporal Michael Heysa emphasized the importance of public vigilance, urging residents to report suspicious activity.
