Arnold Viersen launches campaign as Conservative Candidate for Peace River-Westlock

It’s official, Arnold Viersen is seeking his third term as MP for the riding of Peace River-Westlock.

Viersen launched his campaign at his head office in Barrhead, “there is only one party that will fight for forestry, farming and the oil and gas sectors that are the heartbeat of our communities. Only Conservatives will fight to get our resources to market.”

In Viersen’s two terms, he highlights having served on the Indigenous and Northern Affairs Committee, introducing multiple bills, successfully passing a motion on online exploitation, and launching the All-Party Parliamentary Group to End Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.

The Conservative Party of Canada released its campaign platform on Monday, entitled Secure The Future: Canada’s Recovery Plan.

According to his campaign announcement press release, the focus will be to:

● Secure Jobs by recovering the one million jobs lost during the pandemic in one year.

● Secure Accountability by enacting a new anti-corruption law to clean up the mess in Ottawa.

● Secure Mental Health by delivering our Canada Mental Health Action Plan.

● Secure the Country by building capacity here at home to handle any future pandemic or crisis.

● Secure our Economy by balancing the budget over the next decade.

“This is a plan for all Canadians. It’s one that puts working Canadians at the front of the recovery,” says Viersen.

Canadians go to the polls on Monday, September 20th.
