Regional Fire Service responds to incidents on opposite ends of the County

All County Regional Fire Service stations were kept busy supporting community safety with two separate structure fires on February 2.

The first incident around 9:20 a.m. was in the Teepee Creek area. A piece of electrical equipment on fire was extinguished by responding crews with no further damage to the home.

Later around 2:00 p.m., the Horse Lake Fire Department responded to a structure fire located south of Demmitt, followed by crews from County Regional Fire Service. An active fire was discovered under a manufactured home and quickly extinguished, with damage limited by emergency crews.

No injuries were reported at either incident. The cause of both fires are under investigation by the County Fire Marshal.

County Regional Fire Service crews at stations across the municipality work together with neighbouring fire departments through mutual aid agreements that to ensure that residents in and around the County receive the best possible care.
