In her daily update, Chief Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Deena Hinshaw says there was a power failure at the data centre, which caused a small electrical fire.
Hinshaw added the fire brought down the reporting system but hopes it will be restored tomorrow for a more comprehensive report.
Two deaths were confirmed, including one in the Calgary zone, and an 80-year-old woman in the Northern Zone passed away as well.
50 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 107 cases of COVID-19 and seven people have passed away.
AHS is reporting that 914 people have recovered from the virus.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
