COVID-19 Update: April 28

On April 28, Alberta Health Services confirmed 154 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 4,850.

It was also reported that five people passed away.

80 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 20 cases of COVID-19 and 14 people have passed away.

AHS is reporting that 1,800 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 2,970 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
