On July 2, Alberta Health Services confirmed 94 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 48 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 8,202.
It was also reported that one person passed away in the last 48 hours. 155 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 315 cases of COVID-19 and 16 people have passed away.
There are currently 34 active cases in our zone.
AHS is reporting that 7,505 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 542 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
