On June 2, 2021 Alberta Health Services confirmed 410 additional cases of COVID-19 in the province.
The total number of active cases in Alberta is 6,305.
There are currently 435 people in hospital with the virus and 122 are in ICU.
For active cases in our area; there are 41 in Mackenzie County, 12 in the MD of Peace 11, in the MD of Greenview while all other surrounding counties and MD’s in our region have three active cases or less.
Vaccination rates around our region are consistently rising day by day, with second dose appointments available for those who received their first dose in March.
The percentage of people around the region receiving at least one dose is:
- Falher area – 44.1%,
- Peace River area – 40.3%,
- Spirit River area – 38.5%,
- Fairview area – 36.9%,
- Manning area – 36.3%,
- Valleyview area – 35.7%,
- High Prairie area – 32.1%
- High Level area (Mackenzie County) – 12.8%
