On May 19, Alberta Health Services confirmed 33 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 6,716.
It was also reported that there were no fatalities in the last 24 hours.
128 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 229 cases of COVID-19 and 15 people have passed away.
There are currently 17 active cases in our zone.
AHS is reporting that 5,584 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 1,004 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
