COVID-19 UPDATE: November 10

On November 10, Alberta Health Services confirmed 713 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 34,873.

Seven people passed away, including two in the northern zone, which means 376 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 2,489 cases of COVID-19 and 38 people have passed away.

There are currently 542 active cases in our zone with 34 in the MD of Peace, 25 in the MD of Fairview, 16 in the MD of Greenview, nine cases in Mackenzie County, five in Northern Sunrise County, while all other jurisdictions in our area have two active cases or less.

AHS is reporting that 26,407 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 8,090 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
