COVID-19 UPDATE: September 15

On September 15, Alberta Health Services confirmed 124 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 15,957.

No one passed away over the last day and overall, 254 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,261 cases of COVID-19 and 33 people have passed away.

There are currently 223 active cases in our zone with 62 cases in Mackenzie County, 29 in the County of Northern Lights, 21 cases in Clear Hills County, and eight in the Municipal District of Peace.

AHS is reporting that 14,212 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,491 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
