COVID-19 UPDATE: September 29

On September 29, Alberta Health Services confirmed 160 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 17,909.

One person passed away over the last 24 hours, and 266 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 1,425 cases of COVID-19 and 35 people have passed away.

There are currently 120 active cases in our zone with 18 cases in Mackenzie County.

AHS is reporting that 16,072 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,571 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
