Hospital emergency department closures have hit the region again, this time in Manning.
Alberta Health Services says the emergency department at the Manning Health Centre will be closed from 11 PM tonight to 7 AM tomorrow.
It was also closed last night as well, which AHS says is due to a lack of nursing staff.
Patients requiring urgent emergency medical care during this time are asked to call 911.
EMS calls will be re-routed to surrounding facilities, including in Peace River and Grimshaw.
Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7, for non-emergency, health-related questions.
Depending on their needs, patients seeking care at the ED in Manning may also be made aware of services available through local pharmacies.
