Fairview hockey player Cam Wiebe has begun his first season at the University of Alberta.
He says he’s adjusting well to both the level of play and also the school work.
“Obviously it’s definitely quick for sure so just working through the practices and taking it day by day helps. The program is really good at making sure that guys are staying are staying on top of their academics as well as their athletics. After practice it’s typically straight to the books and if you’re travelling a lot, that’s plenty of time on the bus to study and review any concepts or anything you learned in classes.”
Wiebe says he’s enrolled in the bachelor of kinesiology program with a major in physical health and wellness.
“I love the science aspects of it. I’ve always admired chiropractors and physiotherapists and they’ve helped me through any injuries I’ve had so I wanted to adopt that role.”
