Fairview’s Year in Review

There was lots of work accomplished last year on 113th Street in the Town of Fairview.  Mayor Gord Macleod is looking back at what the town accomplished over the past year.  The road, also known as Secondary Highway 732, saw the entire in-ground infrastructure replaced, including water, sewer, connections to residential houses and to the business community.  Macleod says the town is hoping to work with Alberta Transportation to get the road repaved.  The other major thing he says the town is looking forward to in 2015 includes the completion of water metre replacements in the town.  As of last year, about half of the town has had their water metres replaced already, and once they’re complete, he says it’ll greatly enhance how public works read each metre.  And finally, he says the town’s capital budget should be passed within the near future.
