Four charged following cocaine bust in High Level

Three males and a female have been charged following an investigation into cocaine trafficking.

The High Level and Grande Prairie RCMP detachments teamed up to target numerous street level drug trafficking operations within the two communities.

This led officers to a residence in High Level on October 1.

Police ended up seizing: cocaine, cannabis, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a quantity of Canadian currency.

Jersey Rennie, 19, of Paddle Prairie is charged with:

  • possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public
  • fail to comply with conditions (x4)
  • trafficking a controlled substance – cocaine (x2)
  • possession for the purpose of trafficking – codeine
  • possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (x3), and; 
  • carrying a concealed weapon.

He will be in court this coming Monday.

Douglas Copeland, 42, of High Level is charged with:

  • Trafficking a controlled substance – cocaine (x2)
  • possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, and;
  • possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Copeland was released from custody and will be in High Level Provincial Court on November 2.

In addition, an arrest warrant has been issued for Randi Lynn Courtoreille (37), a female from High Level. She is charged with:

  • Trafficking a controlled substance – cocaine (x2), and;
  • possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (x2). 

An adult male involved in this incident was charged with three offences that have since been dealt with in court.

In addition, an arrest warrant has been issued for Randi Lynn Courtoreille 37, a female from High Level. She is charged with:

  • Trafficking a controlled substance – cocaine (x2), and;
  • possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (x2).
