A 20-year-old High Level man is facing charges of sexual assault and interference. The charges come after RCMP received a complaint January 3rd of an internet relationship between the man and an underage girl. During the investigation, details concerning the alleged relationship were uncovered. The man, allegedly meeting and making contact with the girl through social media, and from there, it turned into a physical relationship. Throughout the relationship, the man allegedly persuaded the girl to send him sensitive images. A search warrant was executed as a result of the complaints, and electronic devices were recovered. Mounties also want to remind parents to discuss all the dangers of communicating with unknown individuals over the internet and to be cautious of what images of themselves they decide to post or sent.
