High Prairie Elks #279 is announcing the cancellation of this year’s Pro Rodeo.
This year would have been the 60th anniversary of the annual summer tradition in High Prairie.
According to the High Prairie Elks, the rodeo brings in around 5,000 visitors.
Due to provincial health guidelines around COVID-19, large gatherings are prohibited.
Organizers hope to be able to bring the rodeo back next summer.
This year’s event was originally scheduled for July 28th and 29th.
