The results are in!

For the latest Trending 55 Poll of the Week, we asked if you felt that MLA recall legislation should be passed this spring.

The question came, in-part, because councils in the Lesser Slave Lake riding have publicly expressed disappointment over Pat Rehn’s performance as MLA.

Premier Jason Kenney kicked Rehn out of the United Conservative caucus, but the MLA has resisted calls to step down.

In terms of your votes, an absolute majority of 68 percent want recall legislation, which would allow a riding to turf their representative if 40 percent of the electorate is not happy.

24 percent feel there are bigger problems than this for the government to address this spring, and eight percent do not care either way.

This week’s question comes directly from our audience.

We now know the Town of Grimshaw and the MD of Peace is exploring the possibility of a small modular nuclear reactor in the area.

We want to know, are you for, or against the possibility of nuclear energy in our region?
