Our last poll question had most voters uncomfortable with sending their kids back to school.

We asked: “With cases of COVID increasing around the province, are you comfortable with having your kids back in school classrooms?”

We received 251 votes; 47% of voters said No, 36% said Yes and 16% voted for “I don’t have kids”.

This week we are asking about crime rates in the Peace region.

This week at Peace River Town Council, The Peace Regional RCMP brought their quarterly community policing report to the council meeting. It showed property crime compared to the same time last year is down by 35%, but persons crime such as assaults and spousal abuse calls are up by 38% in the same time period.

With persons crime rising in the area, should police be using their resources in preventing these crimes?
