Most poll respondents do not support the provincial Choice in Education Act

The results are in for the Trending 55 Newsroom’s Poll of the Week.

Just over 68 percent of voters to the weekly poll are against the act, which is 102 people out of 149.

The provincial government says the act is meant to give parents more choices on how their children should learn.

Alberta Teachers Union President, Jason Schilling said recently that parents have enough choices as it is.

This week, we are sticking with the theme of education.

Education Minister, Adriana LaGrange announced three scenarios yesterday for the re-opening of classes in the fall for K-Grade12 students.
