The new president of the Fairview & District Chamber of Commerce is looking to hit the ground running. Peter Robertson (pictured), the General Sales Manager at Campbell Chrysler and a Town Councillor, was elected at the AGM held on Saturday. Along with the AGM, a Casino night also took place, with numerous prizes handed out to the attendees, with all the proceeds made going to the Chamber. Robertson says there’s a strategy planning meeting coming up within the next few weeks, where he’s hoping to get businesses involved in order to generate new ideas. Other upcoming projects he described include numerous festivals, including a summer’s end Festival. Also elected at the AGM includes the new Treasurer, Wendy Scnaltz, as well as some other members, including Marg McCraig-Boyd, Angela Schrieder, and Mark Allridge.
