Peace Country residents who head to Grande Prairie to do some shopping won’t have a Target to go to anymore.  The U.S. retail chain is closing its doors at all 133 of its locations across Canada, including the one at the Prairie Mall in the Swan City.  CEO Brian Cornell says the company just can’t see themselves making a profit until the year 2021.  The decision which came down this morning, affects about 17,600 employees nationwide.  Target says stores will remain open during a court-supervised liquidation period, and is also working to ensure surplus employees are paid at least 16 weeks of severance.
