Alberta Open Farms Days is taking place this weekend, another local farm participating is Paradis Valley Honey near Watino.
The Trending 55 Newsroom spoke to farm owner Ginette Paradis who says visitors will get a good look at how an apiary operates.
“We’ll have live honey extraction on site. We have an observation hive where people can watch the inner workings of a bee hive and we also have tons of specialty drinks and food along with ice cream. The live honey extraction is certainly something not everyone that not everyone gets the opportunity to see and it is seasonal work. The opportunity to do that during Alberta Open Farm Days is probably going to be the highlight for most people who show up.”
