The general manager of Peace County Co-Op says they’re coming up new ways help customers affected by the pandemic.

Stephen Suvanto says they have opened up their delivery service to anyone who is unable to shop because they’re in self-isolation.

“We’re gonna continue possibly start doing delivery every second day just to keep up with demand. It’s been very well received and this way I can keep my staff employed. I don’t have to worry about laying anybody off because we are definitely busy doing this.”

Suvanto says they’ve had a strong response to it so far after they started it earlier this week.

“Depending on where they’re located, they can call out Grimshaw location if they’re in the Grimshaw area, or the Peace River location if they’re in the Peace River area. Just call and talk to anyone at customer service and they’ll put your name on the list, then they’ll contact you and let you know when they’re able to gey your order and send it out to you.”

The number for the Peace River store is 780-624-1096, while the Grimshaw number is 780-332-4495.

Suvanto says people can also email him at gm@prcoop.ca.
