Peavey Mart Development Permit Negotiation taking place at Peace River Town Council Tonight

Peace River Town Council will be discussing the conditions of a development permit request for a new Peavey Mart.
A briefing note will be presented tonight, that includes a letter from Peavey Industries CFO Kevin Higa.
He has brought up concerns about having to budget for building sidewalks and light posts on Town Property, and feels that council should move to cover that part of the development cost.
In the letter, Higa brought up the fact that skyrocketing material costs already could potentially hinder the decision to go through with building a new Peavey Mart.
The proposed location is between Freson Bros. and Cheviot Heights Trailer Park on the West Hill.

If the proposal is accepted, Peavey Industries plans on building a larger facility that will include over 21 thousand square feet of store space, along with a large parking lot, and other expanded features.

Peace River Town Council will discuss the requested changes to the development permit, at tonight’s meeting starting at 5:00 in the council chambers at Town Hall.
