Peace River and Grimshaw RCMP on scene at airplane crash – Update
Peace River, Alta. – On Sept. 3, 2024, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Peace River and Grimshaw RCMP responded to a report of an airplane crash at the Peace River airport. As a result of this crash, a 30-year-old male resident of Manning, Alta., and a 27-year-old male resident of Australia, were declared deceased at the scene.
As Transportation Safety Board of Canada has taken carriage of the investigation, no further information will be released.
RCMP send condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
BACKGROUND
Emergency crews were called out to the Peace River Airport yesterday because of a plane crash.
Peace Regional RCMP say that the aircraft was a smaller plane and it is believed there were two occupants on board.
Transport Canada officials have been notified and an investigation will be underway.
