The Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association has recognized Mark Owens of Peace River, as a recipient of the 2021 Zone Award of Merit for his contributions to High School Athletics.
A coach with the Peace River Pioneers football team, Owens was selected as a winner of the Northwest Zone, one of eight in the province.
Northland School Division Superintendent Nancy Spencer-Poitras calls Owens instrumental, in supporting the operation of school athletics in Alberta.
