According to statistics from the Canadian Cancer Society, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and 1 in 3 will die from the disease. They say that the best way to take action on breast cancer awareness aside from educating women on early detection and providing information and support services to patients and their families; is to raise awareness.

Throughout the month of October, Peace River Broadcasting has partnered up with local businesses to help raise awareness about breast cancer. The initiative will include awareness messages and we will be selling commemorative t-shirts dedicated to the cause. On October 19th from 9 am until 1pm we will be selling our shirts at the Peace River  Freson Brothers. There will be 250 shirts available and they will cost 15 dollars each. 100% of the proceeds will go the Canadian Cancer Society and a cash jar will also be at the sale for donations.

Peace River Broadcasting thanks all businesses who have partnered with us for this initiative and looks forward to seeing everyone on October 19th to help support the cause.
