Residents in and around McLennan once again do not have physician coverage in their health centre for an allotted amount of time.
There will be physician on-site in the Emergency Department at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in McLennan for 24 hours, from 7 a.m. on November 30 to 7 a.m. on Dec.1, and for 72 hours from 7 a.m. on December 3 to 7 a.m. on December 6.
Nursing staff will stay on site to provide care to inpatients, with one local physician in the community.
Depending on their needs, patients seeking care at the ED in McLennan may also be made aware of services available through local pharmacies.
People are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. EMS calls will be rerouted to High Prairie Health Complex (50 km away).
Regular operations will resume at 7 a.m. on December 6.
