Valleyview RCMP investigate carjacking – update

Valleyview, Alta.- Valleyview RCMP are pleased to report that Dorian Harvey is in custody. We thank the public and media for your assistance.

 

Valleyview RCMP investigate carjacking 

Valleyview, Alta. – On March 28, 2023, 12:55 p.m., Valleyview RCMP received a report of an armed carjacking on the Arc Resources Road, west of Valleyview. The victim attempted to assist the occupants who appeared to be stuck in the snow. Two occupants then approached the victim with a firearm and stole his vehicle.

RCMP officers from Valleyview, Grande Prairie Rural Detachment, as well as Police Dog Services, Air Services, and the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, attended and searched for the suspects. The vehicle was located a short time later abandoned on Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Valleyview RCMP, with assistance from Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, continue their search for the two suspects.

RCMP are asking the public for assistance in locating Dorian Anakian Harvey, who is considered a suspect in this investigation. Dorian Harvey is considered armed and dangerous. RCMP are releasing a photo of Dorian to assist with the investigation. If located DO NOT APPROACH call 911 or your local police.
