  1. The inability to secure physician coverage is happening again three times this week in Fairview.
    No Doctor is available on-site at the Emergency Department at the Health Complex. The only days this week a doctor will be present is Tuesday, and Friday.
  2. Town Councils happening tonight in Peace River, Valleyview, and High Level.
  3. The flight service station at the Peace River Airport is closing this summer.
    The Peace River Region Airport Association was informed that Nav Canada has received permission from Transport Canada to close the station in mid-July.
  4. The Peace River Regional Women’s Shelter is close to being back in full operation, and could be, as early as next week.
    The Shelter endured a partial shut-down of operations, due to the discovery of Black Mold in the facility in November.
  5. Two games in the NHL tonight… LA’s in Vancouver, and Las Vegas is in St. Louis.
  6. The Toronto Blue Jays play their last Spring Training game today against Pittsburgh.
    The Jays open the season Thursday in Tampa Bay.
  7. The La Crete Lumber Barons are the 2024 NWJHL Champs after beating Fort St. John 3-1 on Saturday night, to win the series in five games.
    La Crete will play in Peace River April 3-7 in the Jr. B Provincials.
  8. The NPHL is going the distance, after Spirit River beat Falher 3-0 on Saturday night.
    Game 7 is tomorrow night in Falher.
  9. The Edson Eagles will play the High Prairie Red Wings in the National Junior Hockey League Final.
    The Best-of-seven starts tomorrow in Edson.
  10. The Grande Prairie Storm have been eliminated from the AJHL playoffs.
    Calgary beat the Storm 5-4 in Overtime last night to win the series in six games.
  11. Sunny skies and normal temperatures are expected for the next couple of days in Northwestern Alberta.
    Highs are around 5 degrees today, lows between -5 and -10 tonight.
