(look I know that I’m not only talking about beef here but that alliteration was too good to pass up for the title.)
So yesterday was the last day that you could enter to win our BBQ prize pack through Amplify the North. Firstly Congratulations to Allan Bellefontaine for winning! The BBQ prize pack got me thinking about the very best food to be throwing on your grill. The weather here in Peace River has not been the most ideal to be outside and grilling but I thought we could still fantasize a little and think about what we will be doing here in a little bit once the weather gets better.
Now, before you come after me saying you didn’t include steaks or vegetables in this poll well, there are only four options and I just did the first four that popped into my head. So, if you ever want a redo or something with different options feel free to let me know.
Over on KIX FM, I was surprised that it was 50/50 hotdogs and hamburgers which you know is staple BBQ food. So, I guess maybe surprised is not the right word. I just find it funny that neither hot dogs nor hamburgers were favored both were equally matched.
Over on River Country, Things got a lot more interesting. Hamburgers were a front runner at 58% with…ribs? yes, ribs! In second place. which I mean that’s awesome if 38% are out there making delicious BBQ ribs honestly I think that has somehow made the world a better place. Then we had 6% for both hotdogs and chicken so compared to the other poll that’s really high for chicken and at the same time really low for hot dogs.
Going by this data it seems that hamburgers are just universally loved and I also learned that there are a lot more people cooking ribs on the BBQ than I originally thought. Which I’m not complaining about…I just want your recipe.
I like to ask a different question over on our Instagram story everyday.
You can answer today’s question here: on KIX FM or on RIVER COUNTRY
