Town Of Falher Looking To Refurbish Local Park

The Town of Falher has survey going on right now asking residents about what they want to see done at Friendship Hill Park.

CAO in-training James Bell says the structures in the park are old and the Town is looking for some ideas to give the park some “new life.”

“There’s been some talk of maybe just using the hill itself as more of a playground feature or just going the traditional playground route and changing up the structures. There’s been talk of maybe turning it into an off-leash dog park with a fence or just a green space where people can go and have picnics.”

Even with the survey going on, Bell says there’s no imminent plans for the park right now.

“Our director of community services will look at those results and present them to council. We’ll just use that as some initial groundwork for what we might do in the future. I’m sure as everybody knows, municipal budgets are very tight these days so we’re just trying to get ahead of the game and see what we could do.”

The survey is going on until October 5, you can fill out the survey here.
