The province is releasing a list of pharmacies that are offering COVID-19 swabs for asymptomatic people.
Two drug stores in the Peace Region are offering the testing in Valleyview and Peace River.
Pharmasave Valleyview on 3808 Highway Street is offering testing, along with Shoppers Drug Mart by the Freson Brothers grocery store on the West Hill.
Anyone looking to book a test if they are not showing symptoms need to contact the pharmacy in advance and the test is done by a throat swab.
The phone numbers are: 780-624-2555 in Peace River, and Valleyview’s is 780-524-2183.
The government is asking anyone who is asymptomatic to delay getting tested until September 1 so that students and school staff can get swabbed before returning to school.
