The Paddle Prairie school has been cleared to re-open after extensive tests yesterday.
After the wildfire and smoke caused the school to prematurely close down, two health inspectors were at the school yesterday to conduct tests and survey the area. Previous air quality tests had been conducted and sent out on the weekend, and predicted the school would remain closed for multiple weeks. After the test results from yesterday came back positive, the school re-opened today.
Alberta Health Services stated that the conditions of the school were clean and remediated well above and beyond their expectations.
