The Member of Parliament for Peace River-Westlock wants to put an end to organ harvesting. Arnold Viersen rose in the House of Commons on Wednesday to share a petition in Parliament and had the following to say:
North Peace Hockey League suspends finals – could resume in April
The North Peace Hockey League has just announced the finals between the Grande Prairie Athletics and Dawson Creek Canucks has been postponed. The Canucks have a 3-2 series lead and game six was scheduled for Saturday night
Annual gun and sportsman show in High Prairie postponed – not cancelled as of yet
The High Prairie Fishing and Gaming Association’s is postponing their annual gun and sportsman show. It was originally set for the weekend of April 18-19 at the Gordon Buchanan Recreation Centre. Organizers hope to host the show
Dance festival postponed until further notice
The Peace Region Dance Society announced this morning that this weekend’s festival has been postponed. Officials with the society say they are following the recommendations of the Alberta Government regarding COVID-19. Organizers hope to reschedule the event
