The Fairview Health Complex has set certain hours for outpatient services at the hospital, which began Monday January 4, 2022.
For patients seeking medical care that is non-urgent and for minor ailments; outpatient services will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., seven days a week.
Patients must register at the emergency department and be assessed by a nurse before seeing a physician.
The ED will remain open 24/7 for urgent medical needs.
The change may affect wait times to see a physician for people seeking care that is non-urgent outside of the new outpatients hours.
