Forest areas are taking a hit for the next couple of days, with summer weather settling in.
The rain and cooler temperatures have helped with firefighting efforts on the major blazes in the Northwest.
But tests are coming with the warm weather for the rest of this week.
On the fire front:
The Slims Creek fire north of Manning, the blaze north of Slave Lake, and the Sousa Creek inferno near Chateh, are all listed as Being Held.
Meanwhile, the Bison Lake fire east of Manning, and the Red Earth Complex fires continue to burn at a decent pace.
Over 800 fires have burned in the Province in 2025.
