A major drug and weapons bust in northern Alberta—
On July 31st, Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team, with help from High Level RCMP, conducted a traffic stop on Highway 58 that led to the arrest of two local residents: 41-year-old Jennifer Gervais and 31-year-old Cheri Metchooyeah.
A subsequent search of a High Level residence uncovered 167 grams of cocaine, a loaded 9mm handgun, over \$6,000 in cash, cannabis, Rolex watches, and unstamped tobacco.
The pair face multiple charges, including drug trafficking and firearm-related offences. They remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Chateh Court on August 6th.
