- Power is back on in Peace River’s South end, after a failure during the night last night.
Power went off just after 1:00 this morning, and in some spots, restoration wasn’t complete until just after 8:00. - A search warrant on a property in Peavine has led to a large seizure, and a search for a suspect.
During the event, the suspect, 45-year-old Sheldon Sinclair, arrived, but immediately fled. - The Peace River Food Bank is celebrating success from their on-line fundraiser last week.
Over $18,500 was raised with the auction, plus another $4,300 in cash donations. - Concussion awareness week is this week and the provincial government is getting involved. (Andrew Boitchenko interview in separate story)
- Canadian Country Artist Jaydee Bixby has been providing the entertainment during the AFSC Meals in the Field prize days. (Interview in separate story)
- The Toronto Blue Jays start an important three-gam,e set at home to Boston tonight. Kevin Gausman starts for the Jays against Lucas Giolito.
Magic numbers to clinch is 4 for the division and the #1 seed in the AL. - Pre-season NHL action tonight includes Edmonton in Winnipeg, Ottawa in Toronto, Philidelphia in Montreal, and Seattle in Calgary.
- A mix of sun and cloud for this afternoon in the Northwest, but cooler. Highs are only in the upper teens, with lows tonight still in and around 10 degrees.
