  1. Peace Regional Police have a person in custody after some mischief in Simon Lake. 20 year-old Kendra Auger of Cadotte Lake is due in court next month.
  2. Peace Regional RCMP have picked up a locally wanted man in Brownvale. 42 year-old Rocky Douglas Garnett of Peace River has a court date in November.
  3. Police are continuing to look for Jarod Brandon Gene Whitehead. Their last known whereabouts was in Little Buffalo, and is noted for activities in Peace River, Atikameg, Little Buffalo, Marten Lake, Red Earth Creek, Cadotte Lake, and Loon Lake.
  4. Authorities around the region are asking motorists and pedesrians to be mindful of the dangers of the season, especially now that the kids are back in school.
  5. The Electoral Boundaries Commission had been established for the 2027 provincial election. Changes in the boundaries could be coming in the Peace Region.
  6. The NWJHL has the night off tonight after Dawson Creek defeated North Peace last night. Action in the League resumes tomorrow.
  7. Five Canadian teams are in action in the NHL tonight. The Rangers are in Edmonton, Calgary is in Ottawa, Vancouver is in St. Louis, and Chicago is in Winnipeg.
  8. The World Series has the day off today to fly back to Toronto for Game 6 tomorrow night. The Blue Jays lead the series three games to two, after a 6-1 win last night in LA.
  9. Skies are in the beginning stages of clearing out for today in the Northwest. Highs will be just above freezing, with lows tonight just below freezing under mainly clear skies.
    Hallowe’en still has a chance at being wet for trick-or-treaters.
