Students Return to Class After Winter Break

stock-classroom-jpg-12
Students across the region are heading back to class today after the holiday season break, bringing an early-morning return to routines for families, teachers, and drivers.
School buses are once again filling neighborhood streets and highways, picking up students for the first full week back.
School zones are now back in effect, meaning reduced speed limits and increased pedestrian traffic. Drivers are reminded to stay alert, avoid distractions, and watch carefully for students on route.
Winter driving conditions add extra challenges. Snow, ice, and freezing temperatures can make roads slippery, increasing stopping distances for vehicles. To help with a smooth commute, drivers are urged to leave earlier than usual, increase following distance, and be patient around buses and school drop-off areas.
Parents are also encouraged to dress students warmly and allow extra time at bus stops, as colder temperatures may cause delays. Safety is a shared responsibility and a cautious commute helps ensure a smooth and safe return to the classroom.
As students settle back into learning after the break, cooperation on roads will help make the transition back to school a safe one for everyone.
