The Town of Grimshaw were pleased to finally open the Outdoor rink back up yesterday afternoon.
The rink, adjacent to the Mile Zero Multiplex, was closed for much of December because of snow and lack of an ice surface. - Nampa’s Kayla Skrlik is playing out the rest of the Canadian Women’s Curling championships in Mississauga Ontario.
Skrlik did beat Mackenzie Mitchell of St. John’s Newfoundland 10-4 in 8 ends this morning, improving to 4-3 in the Tournament.
Skrlik play Christina Black of Halifax tonight. - Playoff positioning is being determined this weekend in the NWJHL and the NPHL.
In Jr. B, the only thing left to determine is home ice between Beaverlodge and Grande Prairie.
While in Sr. AA, many scenarios are to be played out this weekend.
The playoff start next weekend. - The NPHL has a huge game tonight with Valleyview at Spirit River tonight.
- Six Canadian teams are in action, as part of a 15-game NHL schedule tonight.
San Jose is in Edmonton, Calgary is in Minnisota, Winnipeg is in Tampa Bay, Anaheim is in Vancouver, Toronto is in Seattle, and Colorado is in Montreal. - A mostly sunny day is in store for the Peace and Big Lakes today.
Clouds are sticking around in the Mackenzie, with highs just below zero.
Same conditions persist into tonight with lows between -10 and -15. Might see some snow on Friday night.
