A fire broke out Sunday morning (February 22) at the High Level Municipal Airport.
The Town of High Level first alerted residents to the situation in a post on its Facebook page. According to comments shared on the post, the fire occurred inside one of the airport’s hangars.
Later in the morning, the Town reported that the fire had been resolved. In an update, officials thanked emergency crews for their swift response and expressed appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation during the incident.
There were no impacts to inbound or outbound flights as a result of the incident.
No further information has been released regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
